Junior Global Genetics Advisor

Are you ready to apply your knowledge of animal sciences and genetics in an international organization with a meaningful impact? Topigs Norsvin is seeking a Junior Global Genetics Advisor to help disseminate and support genetic advancements worldwide.

Purpose of the Role

As a Junior Global Genetics Advisor, you will optimize and implement the Topigs Norsvin breeding program and global distribution to maximize genetic performance for clients globally.

You will work within both the Breeding Program Management and Global Supply Chain Management teams (approximately 50/50). Together, we ensure our genetic products are utilized optimally by our clients. You will support subsidiaries and international customers with data, tools, and advice related to breeding programs and genetic distribution. Additionally, you’ll provide training and second-line support to local teams and assist in monitoring and improving genetic and geneflow processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Breeding Program Support: Implement, monitor, and improve breeding programs in various countries.
  • Gene Flow Optimization: Collaborate with the supply chain team to monitor and streamline genetic distribution.
  • Data & Tools: Analyze data from our extensive database (containing information on over 50 million animals) and provide recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Networking & Training: Train local teams and key clients while building strong relationships with international partners in the industry.

Who You Are

You understand the challenges of the genetics/breeding industry and are eager to develop further in this field. Customer satisfaction is your priority, and you have the ability to engage and convince stakeholders. You’re excited to work on an international level and willing to travel up to approximately 30% of your time.

Our Requirements:

  • Education: MSc in Animal Sciences with a specialization in breeding and genetics (or a comparable background).
  • Languages: Proficiency in English is essential, with knowledge of Dutch, German, or Spanish as a bonus.
  • Location: Based in Den Bosch, with up to 50% remote working possible.
